Harry's Handicap

Want to celebrate the New Year with your favorite running friends? Started in 1977, Harry’s Handicap is run on January 1st and is designed to give all runners an equal chance at the podium. Runners are given a handicapped start time based on their ability, so slower runners get a head start. The goal is to have a mad dash to the finish, with all participants crossing the finish line in a big group! No word on if hangovers are accounted for in the calculations.

The race is one loop of the park, starting and finishing at Bartel-Pritchard Square.

For more information about this year’s race, see the event page in PPTC Member Discussions on Facebook, or click here.
