PPTC announces third round of Grants Program recipients

Prospect Park Track Club is pleased to announce its third round of Grants Program recipients, targeting fall programs: Prospect Park Youth Running Club will receive $1,000 for the cost of equipment, registration fees, and travel for members who have demonstrated need. In nine years, PPYRC members (ages 6-14) have won dozens of individual national titles, and the group's black-and-white uniform has become a staple of Prospect Park. The New York Road Runners STRIDERS program will receive $1,000 toward the costs of a site. Aimed at helping adults lead an active lifestyle, STRIDERS offers free walking and wellness sessions, each led by a certified NYRR running coach or fitness instructor. In the past year, PPTC's Grants Program has given away nearly $8,000 to deserving organizations that promote running in Brooklyn. At least half of the proceeds from our upcoming Turkey Trot will be earmarked for the three funding cycles in 2017!

Thank you to all who applied for a grant in this cycle. The next round of applications will open in late September or early October.
