Last 10 Miles Training Run

PPTC is planning on holding its traditional Last 10 Miles training run of the NYCM course the weekend before the New York City Marathon. We’ll be looking for volunteers to be pace group leaders. Keep an eye out for more information on this and how to sign-up as a pacer.

PPTC NYCM Bus

This year, PPTC is planning again to offer its members a private bus to the start village at Fort Wadsworth.

Registration for PPTC’s buses to the start of the NYCM will open to PPTC members on October 1st. If there are seats still available, registration for PPTC’s buses to the start of the NYCM will be opened to friends and family of PPTC members later in October.

Buses will leave on race day morning from Fleet Feet in Park Slope (pending confirmation). All seats are prepaid and go quickly, and reservations are required.  Registration initially will be opened to members only and will only be opened later to PPTC friends and family, if there are any remaining seats.  

We will also offer bag check so you can have clean, dry clothes and other belongings waiting for you at the PPTC post-race reunion. Bags (small ones, please) will be driven from Fleet Feet to PPTC’s post-race reunion area near the finish. If you do not take the bus, you will still be able to drop off a bag at Fleet Feet the day before, and it will be transported to the post-race reunion.

Registration for the bus will be available through WildApricot and is expected to open in late September. We recommend that all runners choose official transportation through NYRR’s as a back-up.

Post-Race Reunion

Once again PPTC is planning on holding its Post NYCM Reunion at PS 87 (located on West 78th Street). PPTC members will have the opportunity to check a bag for pickup at post-race reunion. Join your teammates and meet up with your family and friends to celebrate or commiserate your marathon finish. Refreshments and real bathrooms will be available indoors. More information about the post-race reunion will be circulated to members in October.

Marathon Monday Celebration

Come join us at our November General Membership Meeting to celebrate our marathon finishers, spectators, and volunteers. Be ready to tell your story or come ready to celebrate our runners. The meeting is for members only. Sign-up on will be on Wild Apricot in October.
