Inside the earbuds of … Chi Iregbulem

Welcome to this week's installment of Inside the Earbuds of...If you've ever run with Chi Iregbulem you know that she's a motivated powerhouse, a spirited cheerleader and most likely the coolest gal in Brooklyn. What tunes keep Chi motivated during her workouts?

Chi IregbulemMy playlist, like me, is eclectic. I’m not genre-specific when it comes to songs that I prefer working out to --  I’m a little bit of rock with a little bit of soul. I don’t care as much about lyrics -- but what’s most important to me is a driving beat that I can match movement to.

While I prefer running outside with friends, recent injuries have unfortunately meant a lot more time indoors on the “dreadmill” or elliptical machine. It has become even more crucial to have a music playlist that, combined with thought bubbles of Coach and Charlene saying “you can do it!”, will keep my feet moving. The harder I want/need to go, the louder the song tends to be.

1. Bloc Party - The Pioneers 2. Outkast - Bombs Over Baghdad 3. Kelly Clarkson - Addicted 4. Foo Fighters - Rope (deadmau5 remix) 5. Ministry - New World Order 6. The Rolling Stones - Paint It Black 7. Calvin Harris ft NeYo - Let’s Go 8. Gnarls Barkley - Crazy 9. Sandy Rivera (feat. Haze) Freak (Original Album Version) 10. Papa Roach - Last Resort 11. Hole - Violet 12. N.E.R.D - Violet 13. Kanye West and Jay-Z ft. Frank Ocean and The Dream - No Church in the Wild 14. Bad Brains - I Against I
