Inside the earbuds of … Tom Tobin
Welcome to this week’s installment of Inside the Earbuds of…
Marathons, half marathons, 10Ks, 5ks ... you name it and he has run it! Tom Tobin has logged well over 100 races as a PPTC member and this past Brooklyn Marathon marked Tom's 20th Marathon! What keeps a runner with such an impressive track record (hardy har har) going during long workouts? His all time favorite tunes.
At home I listen to jazz and blues. When I go out for live music it's usually shows at the Jazz Standard, Birdland or BB King’s (unless, of course, The Stones or The Allman Brothers are in town).
Our family also has subscriptions to the Met, NYC Operas and I travel to several Jazz Festivals every year (Newport, Saratoga, New Orleans). But when I workout I still listen to the same music that I did when I was eighteen.
So this playlist is for the over fifty crowd. This should last for at least 2-hours. And if not? Repeat the Stones!
