The Inside Loop: November 2013
Linus Ly's GPS art seems to have been the last art standing in the center of the front window of Jack Rabbit's Park Slope store after a recent window display change, a fact that makes Linus, GPS art afficionadoes and admirers, and PPTC proud! GPS on, Linus! Hard to stay on the track of who went where to run what this fall but Lisa Smith certainly was bubbly about running Chicago on Sunday, October 13th. The weather was perfect, she says, and the crowds were extremely supportive. The course is nice and flat (and scenic). ''Thanks to Coach Tony, I PR'ed - 3:51!" PPTC Rocks!
With the scaffolding enabling repairs to the exterior of the building side on the 9th Street side and the new pool construction underway on the 8th Street side, the Prospect Park 9th Street YMCA started even further interior renovations to the adult locker room area the end of October. Adult members and their guests now have to use the youth male and female locker areas at the facility from the end of October until about Christmas. There is a schedule available for locker room use.
PPTC prayers go out to Dominique Gagne for healthy healings after her life-threatening run-in with a car while biking in Miami. Let us all recognize our blessings!
