Weekend debrief: March 30-31
Wow! Just as expected, Saturday was an awesome day to race. My ears are still ringing from all the cowbells at The Red Hook Crit!
Over on Roosevelt Island, a clear blue sky welcomed NYCRUNS Spring Fling 5K and 10K racers. In the 10K Kai McBride took 28th place with 42:14, and Glen Gregorio ran a 53:19. Even the Easter Bunny himself (not a PPTC member) hammered out a 10K before his big holiday. For full results, see NYCRuns.com.

PPTC men and women represented in the Red Hook Crit 5K races, and busted out a few PRs on the flat, fast course. It was thrilling to watch the field fly by four times. Highlights include an 11-second PR for Keith Williams and Susie Teal says she hasn't run a 5K that quick since high school! Jessica Yeomans says this event was, "Fun fun fun, fun... awesome... fun, amazing fun!"
And if you stuck around for the actual Criterium after the running events, it was exciting, torrid, and intense--just as advertised.

Also, too bad most of you missed the after party, or else you could of hung out with these cool club members, here and here, who may or may not have been showing off their club affiliation and muscles.
Congratulations, runners! Did I miss anyone? Did anyone take any great photos? Let us know how it went for you!
