Weekend recap: April 13-15

There's not much to say about the Boston tragedy that hasn't already been said.

All of us are safe and sound, although a bit rattled. The scariest moment for me was realizing Tyrone Sklaren passed the 40k mark about 12 minutes before the bombs went off. Fortunately, he was still a quarter-mile away at that time.

But there was a race yesterday, and we'd be letting the terrorist(s) win if we didn't celebrate PPTC's remarkable performances.

Our top male was David Stockwell, a new member who cruised

to the finish in 2:49:35. Congrats and welcome to the team, David!

Karen Ziga was our first woman, completing the challenging course in 3:01:34. The Zigster seems intent on repeating as top female PPTCer in 2013.

Special shout out to Tom Greene, who cleared the three-hour mark by over a minute. Tom was looking for revenge on the injury that knocked him out of last year's Boston, and it looks like he got it.

Also wearing the PPTC colors were Rusty Singletary (3:07:00), Tiffany Hendryx (3:18:53), Lynda Mules (3:31:22), Mai Truong (3:33:01), Anna Tattan (3:38:29), and Justin Burke (3:56:00). Congrats, everyone!

I believe we had some runners in the More/Fitness Women's Half this Sunday, but we're not listed as a team on the results. Were you there? Sound off!
