PPTC Awards Night Red Carpet Fashion

It’s not often you see your running friends in clothing other than their running gear and when you finally get a rare sighting, it is truly a spectacle. This moment can be so extraordinary, so significant, that you might not even recognize your friends at first. You mean you’re not always incredibly sweaty and out of breath?

This year at Awards Night, a red carpet commemorated this moment. We sat down, collected data, reviewed stats, and curated some of PPTC’s best dressed!

Standout Ensembles

Nicholas Cohen (He/Him)

First up we have Nicholas Cohen, PPTC member and the owner of the venue Stitch Bar & Blues. He dons a red velvet sport coat with black piping as he strikes a pose on the red carpet.

Not pictured: Nick’s Abbott Six-Star Medal.

Lillian Park (SHe/her)

Lillian Park is spotted wearing a magnificent white dress with blue flower lace and black heels. When asked what designer she is wearing, she responded that she “thinks [she] got on Amazon a few years ago.”

She spun for the cameras showing off her dress!

Jen Piazza (she/Her)

Jen Piazza poses confidently on the red carpet modeling a v-neck sleeveless blue dress with gold stripes. When asked to describe her favorite part of PPTC this year, Jen says “maybe it’ll be this party!”

Please note: When asked to spin for the cameras, Jen did not spin

Nathan Vader (He/Him)

Nathan Vader sports a green sport coat, coordinating green jeans, a white dress shirt, and light brown leather shoes. After spinning for the cameras and showing off his ensemble, Nathan says the best part of PPTC this year was “joining [the club] because I’ve only been a member since March [2021], so it’s only been a year. It’s been an amazing year in New York and with the club.”

Please note: Nathan is not pictured on the red carpet, but did participate in a tiny interview

David Coleman (He/HIM)

David Coleman is dressed for the occasion in one of the notable suits from the evening with a red tux, PPTC bowtie, and black dress shoes. The look was completed with his Comeback Runner of the Year award received later in the evening.

Maureen Keleher(she/Her) and Alexis Gordon (She/Her)

A dynamic duo, Maureen and Alexis (respectively) are pictured on the red carpet sporting some red styles!

Maureen rocks a red jumpsuit embellished with gold and black, wanting to be festive for the occasion. She completes the look with her black and gold New York City Marathon jacket. What’s been her favorite part of PPTC this year?

“Making new friends! I’ve been running for years and I have lots of friends in disparate places, but now I feel like I finally havea real community and people who can run at the same pace I run, so it’s just really magical.”

Alexis wears a maroon suit with a button down with a hot pink parrot pattern, and black loafers. Her favorite part of PPTC this year was training for the New York City marathon with an excellent group of (mostly) women. “It was really exciting to do that in a time where it didn’t really seem like the marathon would happen, and then it did happen and I did it and felt strong.”

LArry SilleN (He/Him)

Our beloved photographer Larry Sillen, who documented many of our red carpet moments, smiles on the red carpet himself with a white dress shirt and tie, navy vest, and khaki pants. His look is completed with his camera in hand. Thank you Larry!

Honorable Mentions:

Ashley Williams (SHe/Her)

Ashley Williams is pictured in a blush spaghetti strap dress with a matching scrunchie on her wrist. Not pictured are the incredible sneakers she wore to bring practicality and comfort to her effortless look.

Erin Anthony (He/HIM)

Although he was unable to attend in person, Erin Anthony walked the red carpet in our hearts. The winner of the New Member of the Year award receives an honorable mention for this incredible tux. This look is perfectly suited for the occasion!

When asked about his favorite part of PPTC this year, Erin says “Cheering with PPTC at the NYC marathon and meeting new people at the Friday morning SEC runs and seeing that group grow.”

Although there is no official fashion award, all of our members were sharply dressed and while not everyone could be featured in this blog post, we appreciate all of the fashion of the night. An evening with running friends in non-running outfits is truly a one of a kind event, and it might not happen again until next year!

A special thank you to those who participated in interviews and modeling on the red carpet!!
