The next PPTC General Meeting is taking place on Mon 2/4, and will also include a shoe collection for Back on My Feet New York City. BOMF combats homelessness through the power of running, community support and essential employment and housing resources. You may have attended the joint run with BOMF last fall, and several of our members have volunteered as run leaders with them. At the Feb meeting, we'll have a box in the back to collect shoes (see details below on what's excluded).
How It Works: We donate shoes through the ShoeBox Recycling Program, who in turn, then makes a donation to Back on My Feet, simultaneously raising awareness about the global impact of shoe recycling while also helping transform lives one mile at a time.
Please do NOT bring: ski/snow/winter boots, women’s fashion boots, golf spikes, metal spikes or cleats, roller skates, roller blades, ice skates, broken, wet, muddy or ruined footwear, single shoes, rubber/foam shoes, flip flops or slippers
Note that this is a SHOE drive; please do not bring clothing!
