The Team Captains are proud to announce that we are going to be experimenting with group runs starting 08/29/2020. Please bear with us as we work through these uncertain activities, everything is a work in progress.
We are going to have our first group run on Saturday 08/29/2020 meeting at Bartel Pritchard Square in order to avoid the Saturday Market at Grand Army Plaza. The group will meet inside the park entrance there, between the loop and the Citibike rack. See the pic below.
We are requiring that all participants sign up on this spreadsheet:

We are having two groups gather 30 minutes apart so that we can keep the numbers down, and are limiting participation to the first 50 people who sign up for each slot. This is consistent with the current guidelines from the state on how many people should be gathering at one time. Each time slot will have a group leader who will send off smaller groups determined by target distance and pace. At all times the Group Leader's instructions should be followed.
We cannot stress this enough: ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST WEAR FACE COVERINGS AT ALL TIMES WHILE GATHERING AT BPS, AND MUST MAINTAIN SOCIAL DISTANCING. If people fail to follow this requirement we will not schedule further group runs. In addition, we ask that all participants keep their faces covered while running in the group. We understand that it may feel harder for some to run with masks on, but we think it's important to ensure the safety of our community. If you are unable to run with a mask on, this may not be the time to join for group runs.
Lastly, we are asking that all participants run outside of the park. The park on Saturdays is entirely too crowded.
As stated above, this is just an experiment, and we'll adjust things accordingly as we get used to things. We ask that everyone please have patience with us while we work all of this out and figure the best way to handle things going forward. None of us are experts on this, and we expect there to be a few sticking points along the way. That said, we are really excited about being able to gather for group runs again, and hope you are too. Please let us know if you have any questions.
