Last 10 Miles of NYCM

As announced at Monday’s General Meeting, we will be holding the Last 10-Miles of the NYCM event this year. Please note, that things are going to look very different this year compared to years past. 

Here are the details: 

  • The event will take place on Saturday, October 24, 2020

  • The location will be 60th street and First Ave (although the EXACT location will be determined and sent to your specific pace group shortly before the event). 

  • Your start time will be sometime between 8:00AM - 9:00 AM. We are having pace groups meet at slightly different locations and will have staggered starts to adhere to social distancing protocol. 

    • Note: Out of an ABUNDANCE of safety, we will be accepting up to 50 participants for this event. Each pace group will have a leader, a start location (distanced from the others), and a slightly different start time. 

    • IF NYC CHANGES SAFETY PROTOCOLS BEFORE THE EVENT, WE MAY NEED TO ADJUST THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE WHO ATTEND. YOUR PLACE WILL BE DETERMINED ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS.

    • Please only sign up if you are 100% sure you will be attending the event. We ask that all runners arrive on time (but please, not too early as we need to make sure we are all adequately distanced from one another). 

  • The course will follow the same course as in past years, with pace groups finishing at locations just slightly different (again for social distancing purposes). 

  • There will NOT be a group meet-up after the run. 

Below we have outlined some changes we would like to bring to your attention: 

  • There will be staggered start times and slightly different start locations

  • You must sign up ahead of time and provide the pace you will be running on the day of the event (and if you would like to be a group leader)

  • There will be NO bag check

  • There are NO water/fuel stations. Please BRING YOUR OWN WATER AND FUEL. 

  • There will be NO group meet-up after the event. 

  • Finishing location will vary slightly for each group. 

  • Masks must be worn when social distancing is not possible.

If the number needs to be lowered due to regulation guidelines changing, please be flexible and know that we are trying our best to accommodate everyone - but may need to cut numbers down if regulations mandate it.
