Come run, cheer, and show your PPTC team spirit at the annual NYRR Team Championships 5 mile race! This unique event is only open to members of established NYRR recognized teams. Bonus: We'll have a post-race party at Local 61 at 2pm!

Men and women race in separate events, with the women's race starting at 7a.m. and the men's race at 8:15 a.m. This makes for a lot of team spirit as men cheer during the women's race and women cheer during the men's race. We'll have our team banners, cowbells, and of course, PPTCat.

For those who want to race competitively-you can try to score points so we can aim to beat other teams (info about that is on the NYRR registration page).

*This race is a fun event and is open to anyone regardless of speed! If you run fast- you can help our team win points, but no one will hurt our team by running slower.

*If you are injured, you can still come to cheer and hang out with teammates. Enter the park at 102nd & 5th Ave, then walk south and you’ll see the PPTC cheer zone a bit further south on the course.

*We always take a full group photo in Central Park after this race, and we hope to have a big turnout. It truly is one of the best team events of the year. We will also provide light recovery snacks (water, granola bars, fig bars & goldfish) for runners.

*After your post-race shower and foam roll, be sure to come to Local 61 at 2 pm to hang out with your teammates and recap the day.
