POSTPONED: Yoga for Runners #2

NOTE: Due to concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic, we have postponed this event. We'll follow up regarding an updated schedule in the near future. Thanks for your patience and understanding as we all go through this together.

--------

Mala Yoga will be holding two sessions of their highly popular "Yoga for Runners" sessions exclusively for PPTC members on the last Sunday in March and the first Sunday in April.

Here are some of the essentials:

--------

Start/end time: Class begins at 10 am and ends at 11:15 am. Students can arrive 15-20 minutes beforehand & they can change there if need be. We are a small studio, and as such, there is no shower.

Cost: The price for one class is $25, and if they sign up for both classes, the price goes down to $46. This is a special deal for PPTC members. If the student already has a Mala class card, they can use it for this series. Please note there are no refunds (studio policy) and the late cancel policy will apply to this workshop - if they can't make the class, they must cancel at least 8 hours before to keep their class fee. They can then apply it to a future class and have 60 days to do so.

Location: The studio's address is 258 Bergen Street (storefront), between Nevins and Third Avenue. There is no buzzer, just walk right in!

Do you provide yoga mats? Yes! You are welcome to bring your own yoga mat, or use ours. There is no fee for using our mats.

--------

Please note that the sessions have a maximum capacity of 16 people.

Class description:

What if we told you there was a way to run better, faster, and stronger that doesn't involve time at the gym or more miles on your legs? Yoga for Runners is an innovative stability- and mobility-focused class for runners and athletes of all levels and experience. Longtime yoga teacher and run coach Steph deconstructs traditional yoga poses for runners, and explains the purpose behind each pose so you know exactly how they benefit your running. Every class includes brain/body connection work and strength work for the feet/hips/core. This class creates a framework of strength and stability on the mat that translates to a stronger physical and mental framework on the run. If you’re injured or want to remain injury-free, consider this an impromptu anatomy lesson about all the muscles you use on your daily run. Plus, you’ll also work on developing breathing and mental focusing practices, which help you train your mind to deal with race-day adjustments. Yoga for Runners isn’t just about flexibility—it’s about discovering a new way to bulletproof your running.
