Community Event: RUNchute - Prospect Park Loop Cup

Call for Runners: Some of you may know that Coach John Honerkamp has been developing a new virtual race platform called RunChute. The races take place on select courses around the city where participants competing in teams are given a two-week window to race their fastest times.

The course for the next race will be one full loop of Prospect Park beginning and ending at our finish line for the Al Goldstein Summer Speed Series. The idea is to:

- form teams of 5 runners (of the same gender)

- create an account

- link your Strava account

- run and record the activity on Strava (between Sept 28th - Oct 11th)

The teams of 5 runners are formed only for scoring purposes. Each participant can run the course individually at any point during the race period.

If anyone is interested in helping out and participating in this free virtual race, please add your name and email to the spreadsheet. Whether you have a team in mind or are interested and would like to be added onto a team, add your name to the list and I'll follow up with more details. Even if it’s virtual, let’s see if we can get a good PPTC presence at one of the first team races since the lockdown!
