Celebrate International Women's Day by running one of our custom routes during Women's Day. This is a virtual run, however members are welcome to group up and coordinate amongst themselves to run together. This year, we are honoring Brooklyn natives Shirley Chisholm and Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Shirley Chisholm, the daughter of West Indian immigrants, was the first Black woman elected to the U.S. Congress, under the slogan "Unbought and Unbossed” and she ran for President in 1972. Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the daughter of Eastern European Jewish immigrants, began her career as an advocate for women's rights when she was in law school and continued through her tenure on the Supreme Court.
