Did you manage to sculpt Buns of Steel during the pandemic quarantine, after doing nothing but more weekly mileage, strength training and lunges? Or are you confident that your intense willpower and grit will strike fear into the shaky thighs of your competition?
We want to show off how STRONG runners are, and we're inviting you to see how your glute power stacks up against your fellow teammates at PPTC's inaugural wall-sit challenge. Consider this your first commitment to sculpting a strong, beautiful, injury-proof booty in 2021!
And although eternal PPTC fame and glory should be enough motivation, we are offering prizes (tbd) for the top two winners of the wall sit challenge!
For those of you who participated in the plank challenge, this one will work similarly...though the number of rounds we do will depend on the number of people who sign up. Please SIGN UP here to indicate your interest: https://docs.google.com/.../1HubP59BNJvfisaMldV.../edit
RULES:
1) No equipment required except for a wall (and yourself!) Wear shoes if you'd like, but don't feel obligated to if you're more comfortable barefoot.
2) Headphones, magazines, and other accessories that will help you pass the time without distracting other competitors are allowed, as long as your thighs remain parallel to the ground (ie, your legs should be at a 90 degree angle). You can drink water, but be sure to keep it within reach so you don't break your seated position.
3) Ben Kessel has graciously agreed to moderate to make sure no one slips!
So, are hill repeats the way to win this? Does planking ability correlate with wall sit ability? Sign up (link above) and stay tuned to find out! P.S. It's not too late to sign up for Ben's strength training class!
