A Blog About The Blog

Yes, you heard that right. It’s a blog about the PPTC blog. This blog post gives you a behind the scenes look at the blog team and will answer some frequently asked questions in an interview format. Enjoy!

FAQ: I hear about the club’s blog, but where do I find it?

Blog Team: You can locate it on PPTC’s main website, in the top right corner of your screen, the very last (but not least!) menu option. Or, you can type pptc.org/blog right in the address bar (my preferred method).

FAQ: What topics does the blog cover?

Blog Team: Oof! Are there any topics we don’t cover?

The description on the the blog’s home page is spot on, “The blog highlights various club members and their accomplishments, and other topics and events that may be of interest to the NYC running community or at large.” The blog covers any topic that is loosely running related.

FAQ: Who runs the blog?

Blog Team: The blog is run by a group of PPTC members who find value in the written word and connecting people through stories. The members of the team, Linda Chan, John Vaghi, Emily Funk, and Rachel Harris along with past members (shoutout to Donna Newton, PaFoua Hang, Alison Kotch, and many others who were integral to the blog team) made the blog what it is today with their creativity, ingenuity, passion, and care. I, Rachael DePalma, am the Blog Chair, which is a fancy term that essentially translates as: I was trusted with far more responsibility than I deserve. The real heroes are all the other team members!

FAQ: Do you have to be on the Blog Team to write a blog post?

Blog Team: Nope! Any member from the club is welcome to write posts. If you have an idea, simply email us at blog@pptc.org and we’ll work with you to get your post published. It’s always refreshing to hear from a different perspective. :)

FAQ: What if I have an idea for a blog post but don’t want to write it?

Blog Team: Email us! (Blog@pptc.org !) We love hearing new ideas. Unfortunately, we can’t promise an idea will become a post as we don’t always have the bandwidth.

FAQ: I’m interested in becoming a part of the blog, but I don’t want to write. Is there anything else I can do?

Blog Team: Yes! Graphic designers, digital illustrators, photographers, editors, and anyone interested in SquareSpace formatting and production would all complement the Blog Team well. We’re actually actively looking for people with the above skills if you’re interested, email us please! (blog@pptc.org )
