Our second January spotlight is on Team Captain Missy Burgin. Missy grew up in Indiana, moved to New York City ten years ago, and joined the club after she moved to Brooklyn in 2013. Since then she has served on the Race Committee, the Board of Directors, and, most recently, as co-race director of the 2019 Turkey Trot. 

Jason Smith is originally from Baltimore, MD, although he has lived in Brooklyn for 27 years. Outside of running and spending time with his wife, daughter, and dog, Jason owns and operates a fine arts logistics company he co-founded called “maquette.”

We are excited to share this interview with one of PPTC’s longstanding members. In addition to being a runner, Ben is an avid (read: obsessed) triathlete, and loves to train and race! He is currently the proud President of the Brooklyn Tri Club (“BTC”).

Lillian has been on the Communications Committee since 2017 and is a key member of the Social Media team. Lillian is also one of the team captains, along with Adam Devine, Missy Burgin, and Jimmy Leung.

Adam has been a board member for over a year and is part of the Membership and Communications Committees, as well as the Social Media team.

Caitlin grew up in Massachusetts and moved to Brooklyn to attend Pratt Institute in 2005. She is a Digital Designer and Illustrator with Meredith, and creates editorial illustrations and digital branding for companies like Real Simple, Shape, Health, Parents, and Martha Stewart.

Will was born and raised outside of Philadelphia, PA, and moved to NYC about 15 years ago for grad school. He is a full-time designer, architect, and part-time educator. He loves making things and Legos.
